The photograph was shot along the A51 Marseille-Grenoble, in a service station designed in 1991 by the architect Marc Givry,
and made up of a building and five "signaling towers" that rapresent a contemporary expression of the great towers and
telescopes of the Haute-Provence Observatory. However, the attention is focused on the absence that deprives the place of
its own original purpose, a sensation heightened by the presence of two people at the center of the image.

The photographs of an archive take on new meanings, adapting -some in cases- to events which they seem to prelude.
